In a joint operation, officers from the Stella operational unit of the local police Napoli and the ASL staff carried out an inspection in a food storage in via Mario Pagano, following a report from some residents. The warehouse had serious hygiene and health deficiencies, including the presence of insects. The food of animal and vegetable origin, for a total weight of two and a half tons, were placed under seizure for violation of EC Regulation 852/04. Furthermore, a non-EU citizen without a residence permit was reported to the judicial authorities for aggravated theft of electricity.
As part of the activities of territorial control and road safety protection, the Git-Motociclisti operational unit and the San Lorenzo operational unit have carried out numerous vehicle checks in via Arenaccia, resulting in 47 reports being drawn up. Six drivers were fined for driving without a protective helmet and seven for failing to present the mandatory documentation.
Six vehicles were found without insurance coverage. Additional violations included driving without a license, with an expired license or with an inadequate license, and driving vehicles subject to tax seizure. One case of careless entrustment of a vehicle was found. In addition, four vehicles had not undergone the mandatory periodic inspection and two were not properly registered. Seven vehicles were subjected to administrative seizure and the same number were seized.
