The Caserta Provincial Command of the Guardia di Finanza has completed a major operation to combat tax evasion.
Following a complex investigation launched in 2021 by the Marcianise Company, a sum of over 800.000 euros was definitively confiscated from a company that manages a network of minimarkets and its legal representative.
Tax investigations had already revealed a worrying picture: the failure to file tax returns for an amount exceeding 7 million euros and the consequent failure to pay taxes for over 1,8 million euros.

On the basis of these serious elements, the legal representative of the company had been reported to the Public Prosecutor's Office of Santa Maria Capua Vetere for the crime of failure to declare.
The Preliminary Investigation Judge had therefore ordered the preventive seizure of assets, including current accounts, company shares and vehicles, for a total value of over 818.000 euros.
With the recent final ruling, the Court of Santa Maria Capua Vetere confirmed the confiscation of the assets, thus depriving the tax evader of the illicit proceeds of the criminal activity.
