Weather alert Naples and Campania: strong winds and rough seas from 25 to 27 December

The functional centre of the Civil Protection of the Region Campania has issued a new warning weather alert for strong winds and rough seas, valid throughout the region from 18.00 pm today 25th December until 6.00 am on Friday 27th December. The level of hydrogeological and hydraulic alert will be green.

Zone 1: Piana Campana, Naples, Islands, Vesuvian Area

They are expected strong northerly winds, with possible gusts, and rough seas, especially along coasts exposed to the winds, with possible storm surges.

• Cloudy sky with isolated precipitation, mainly snow in the internal sector, altitudes above 800-900m and locally even at lower altitudes.
• Strong northerly winds with local reinforcements.
• Rough sea, especially offshore and along exposed coasts.
• Temperatures slightly rising with night frosts, especially in the inland sector.

• Cloudy sky at night with little chance of precipitation and large clearings from the afternoon.
• Strong northerly winds in the morning, easing in the following hours.
• Sea still rough with gradually decreasing wave motion.
• Temperatures stable or slightly increasing with the possibility of night frosts above 800-900m.
• Reduced visibility in the mountainous areas.
