In Venezuela, the number of arrests involving Maduro's political opponents continues to grow, according to the NGO Foro Penal.
In fact, there were 90 arrests in the first few days of this month, arrests that brought the total number of prisoners for crimes of opinion to 1687. Relatives and friends of the victims speak of actual kidnappings carried out by hooded officers, aboard vans without license plates.
Agents clearly without documents. Detainees, literally torn from their families, are prevented from benefiting from private lawyers even for months. A practice that clashes with international law and constitutes the crime of "forced disappearance".
Of the 1687 inmates, according to the NGO Foro Penal, 1474 are men, 213 are women, 162 are soldiers.

Reading the article I noticed that there are many things to consider regarding the situation in Venezuela, and the repression of human rights is a very delicate and complex issue that requires attention and deep reflection to understand the political dynamics at work.
