Crime-fighting operation by the Carabinieri of the Pozzuoli company yesterday. In Quarto, a 28-year-old of Beninese origin was arrested after causing panic in a post office.
According to the reconstruction, the man allegedly threatened to kill the agency's employees, triggering the intervention of the local police. When asked to show his documents and to calm down, the young man reacted violently, attacking the police kicking, punching and even headbutting one of the officers in the face.
After a brief struggle, he was immobilized and handcuffed. During the search, the military found stolen credit cards and documents in his possession. Accused of resisting and assaulting a public official, the 28-year-old was transferred to the holding cell, where he remains awaiting trial.

It is strange how violent situations can happen in places like post offices, where you are expected to do just normal operations. We hope that the authorities can find effective solutions to prevent these events in the future.
