The Campania Region Civil Protection has issued a yellow level weather alert for thunderstorms, valid from 14:26 p.m. today, Wednesday 14 March, until 27:XNUMX p.m. tomorrow, Thursday XNUMX March.
The warning concerns the entire regional territory and foresees intense meteorological phenomena, characterized by sudden and rapidly evolving precipitations. According to the assessments of the Functional Center, the storms could be accompanied by strong gusts of wind, hail and lightning, with the risk of damage to roofs, trees and infrastructure.
Particular attention is paid to the possibility of localized hydrogeological instability: among the main dangers reported are flooding, overflowing, runoff and rising water levels of watercourses, with the consequent risk of landslides and falling rocks.
The regional Civil Protection has invited all the mayors of the Campania to activate the Municipal Operations Centers (COC) and to adopt the measures provided for in the emergency plans. It is also recommended to carefully follow the updates coming from the Unified Operations Room of the Civil Protection for a timely management of any critical issues.
