On March 23, two concurrent events will be held to commemorate the fallen of the Two Sicilies. In Gaeta, the event organized by the Neoborbonic Movement will take place over three days, from March 21 to 23. At the same time, in Civitella del Tronto, an event at the Fortress will be curated by Dr. Francesco Maurizio Di Giovine.

Commemorative Events
In both locations, Sunday morning will be characterized by the celebration of a Holy Mass in suffrage of the fallen of the Kingdom, followed by a historical reenactment. Of particular note, in Civitella, is the presence for the first time of the historical reenactment association "Primo Reggimento Re". Founded in 2018, this association is dedicated to the representation of the Bourbon soldiers of the period between 1830 and 1860. Their military uniforms are faithful reproductions of the original clothes and the commands are carried out according to the methodologies of the time.
Reflections on Memory
The reenactment represents a significant opportunity to honor historical memory, considered a fundamental cultural heritage. “Remembering our soldiers who fell defending our homeland is an act of love and pride,” reads one of the statements related to the event. These moments are perceived as rich in emotion, offering a spectacle where the past seems apparently frozen in the present.
