Simona Capone, the 17-year-old girlfriend of Santo Romano, the 19-year-old footballer killed last year in San Sebastiano al Vesuvio, asks that “whoever made a mistake pays, even if they are minors”.
He did it yesterday on the sidelines of the first hearing of the trial against the young murderer which was held before the Juvenile Court. And he did it holding the shoe of Holy. “I sleep with this shoe: I can't part with it anymore. It's the first time I've worn it in public after a while because it's something holy on such an important day,” she said.
And then he added: "I hope that justice can deploy everything it has at its disposal to protect us, the family and all the kids who go out at night. There is still too much crime around that needs to be fought. Justice is there, it responds and punishes those who commit such serious crimes".

It's very sad what happened, but I don't agree that everyone should pay. Young people sometimes make mistakes and justice must be fair. Let's hope the situation improves for everyone.
