San Giorgio. The drive-in for the administration of nasopharyngeal swabs has been operational since this morning. The structure, found by Mayor Giorgio Zinno, thanks to the synergy with private individuals, is located in via Marconi 16, in front of the ASL headquarters, and was set up in a structure granted on loan for use by the Fico family who owns it.
Citizens residing in the area will be able to access the drive-in San Giorgio a Cremano and San Sebastiano al Vesuvio and will be tested directly from their car. Naturally, only those who have been authorized by the ASL through the dedicated platform with a pre-arranged appointment will be able to take the swab.
The structure in via Marconi is a strategic place also from a logistical point of view because it allows cars to enter and wait their turn, without creating critical issues. Civil Protection volunteers are committed to supporting the organization to manage the flow of cars and ensure maximum safety.
“The ASL has been looking for suitable premises for a long time to set up a drive-in in our city too – explains the mayor Giorgio Zinno - thus streamlining the mass of people who until now could only go to San Sebastiano al Vesuvio. Thanks to the availability of private individuals we were able to find an adequate structure and the director of district 54 of the Asl Na3 Sud, Dr. Maria Teresa Stocchetti, immediately committed to making it immediately operational”.
Meanwhile, the First Citizen is constantly following the evolution of the situation and, also through Facebook live broadcasts, continues to keep citizens updated with maximum transparency, on the number of infections and on the measures to contain the contagion.
“We are all making a great effort - Zinno concludes - to intervene effectively and implement all measures aimed at providing security to citizens and reduce waiting times without losing the widespread tracking system started by the ASL. To get out of this emergency, however, we must all strictly observe the protocols, respect the ordinances, go out only when necessary and behave with the utmost responsibility. "
