He was riding his bike along Via Termino in Serino, as he usually did, to keep fit, when he was hit by a tractor.
A 55-year-old amateur cyclist was seriously injured in a road accident this morning. The driver of the agricultural vehicle called 118 and an ambulance arrived on the scene within minutes. The paramedics immediately realized the seriousness of the 55-year-old's condition and transported him to the emergency room at the Moscati hospital in Avellino.

The man is still hospitalized with a reserved prognosis. The Carabinieri of the Solofra company have started investigations to ascertain the dynamics of the accident and verify any responsibilities.
