The sentences have arrived for the protagonists, friends and family of the baby-robber Ugo Russo who died after attempting to rob a Rolex from an off-duty carabiniere, of the shooting at the Pastrengo barracks and of the devastation of the Pellegrini hospital.
As reported by Il Roma, the sixth section of the Court of Appeal of Naples has inflicted 1 year and 5 months on Salvatore Mazzocchi, compared to the previous 2 years and, above all, the 8 years initially requested by the public prosecution. Giovanni Grasso “Ivan” received 6 years: one less than in the first instance. Vincenzo Sammarco received 4 years and 6 months, compared to the previous 5 years. Three years and seven months for Lucia Palumbo, Maria Pia Russo, Salvatore Grasso and Gennaro Mancini. The sentence inflicted on Michele Incoronato was confirmed: 3 years and 8 months.”
“As far as we are concerned, the reductions in sentences for such serious crimes are incomprehensible. The shooting at Pastrengo and the assault on Pellegrini are a demonstration of the type of criminal environment in which Ugo Russo grew up.
