This morning the police officers from the police station extensive– Arenaccia, during the territory control service, on the orders of the Operations Center, intervened in via Firenze at the corner with via Milano because some passers-by had stopped a man who had just committed a robbery.
The police officers, who arrived on the scene, saw people moving away and a man lying on the ground.
At the same time, they were approached by a man who said that shortly before, while he was returning from work with a colleague, he had been attacked by two individuals who had asked him to hand over the sum of 50 euros and, when he refused, they had first punched him in the face and then threatened him with a knife, stealing his cell phone and 150 euros.
The victim also said that, at that moment, thanks to the screams of his colleague, some passers-by had managed to block one of the robbers after a fight, while the other had fled with the stolen goods.
The operators identified the man as a 21-year-old Moroccan with a police record and an illegal immigrant in the country, and arrested him for aggravated robbery.
