At the Trianon Viviani, from Thursday 15 to Sunday 18 December, the last reruns of “Spacciatore. Una sceneggiata”.
Produced by the Naples theater – Teatro Nazionale and directed by Pierpaolo Sepe, the show is a modern reinterpretation of the sceneggiata and is included in “Ac-conciati per le feste!”, the Christmas season program, curated by the artistic director Marisa Laurito, which aims at a heterogeneous audience.
Spacciatore tells a cross-section of our city, using the classic form of the sceneggiata. The protagonist is a modern-day drug dealer, a real character who hides the ambiguities and problems of today. A young man who is neither cloyingly good nor anthropologically bad.
The drug dealer will have to deal with an honest family, where he is the first to commit crimes. There will be a girlfriend who is not indifferent to easy money and a policeman who is apparently unscrupulous, but also a family man.
“This project was born from the urgency to get closer to the public, to stimulate interest and curiosity even in those who have been away from the seats of a theater for a long time. – explains Sepe –: It is essential, today more than ever, to fill the theaters with all the social fabrics and to reconstruct together the sense, long lost, of the function of artists and the public".
For the director, the sceneggiata is therefore a “meeting point, a real possibility to tell our time with the language of those who live in it and determine it”, Why “it lives on a popular dimension and a language that can also involve corners of a
communities far from the guilty artistic trajectories, not always attentive to direct dialogue with the world to which they belong”.
The dramaturgy of Spacciatore. A sceneggiata is signed by Andrej Longo and
sees on stage Vincenzo Antonucci, Ivan Castiglione, Riccardo Ciccarelli, Giulia D'Aloia, Roberto Del Gaudio, Daniela Ioia, Stefano Miglio. The music and songs are by Francesco Forni, the scenes by Francesco Ghisu, the lights by Luigi Biondi and the costumes by Gianluca Falaschi. The assistant director is Valia La Rocca, the assistant scene Christina Psoni, the assistant costume Anna Missaglia. The stage photos are by Guido Mencari.
The show will be on stage from Thursday 15th to Saturday 17th December, at 21pm, and Sunday 18th December, at 18pm.
It was with Spacciatore that the collaboration between the Naples theatre – Teatro Nazionale and the Trianon Viviani – Teatro della Canzone napoletana was started.
The two public theatres have launched “A teatro – andata e ritorno”, an original initiative dedicated to spectators of the two structures with which, in the month of December, the audience of one theatre will be able to purchase a ticket for a show at the other theatre at the special promotional price of 15 euros.
