Director Fabio Mollo, Luca Trapanese and the actor Pierluigi Gigante in the theater on Sunday 8 October.
The film arrives at Ricciardi Born for you by Fabio Mollo with a wonderful cast that tells the story of the first case of foster care and then adoption to a single man in Italy.
On Sunday 8th October, after the 18.00pm screening, the director, the leading actor Pierlugi Gigante and Luca Trapanese will meet the public. Luca Trapanese, Welfare Councillor of the Municipality of Naples, is the father of Alba, a little girl with Down syndrome. Her story comes to the screen to make us reflect on how a law that regulates foster care and adoption has been at a standstill since 1983. The Capuano theater resumes its usual Sunday film club appointments with guests in conversation with the artistic director.
“The new cinema season starts from where we left off – says Francesco Massarelli – with many good films and interviews in the theater. This first part is characterized by the release of the main titles of the Venice Biennale, but there are also many interesting works that arrive completely unpublished to the public, such as the human story of Luca Trapanese, no longer unknown thanks to the work of Fabio Mollo and his wonderful cast”.
Among the film's actors, the female roles stand out: Teresa Saponangelo, in the role of a single, empathetic and non-partisan lawyer; Barbora Bobulova, who plays a juvenile judge to whom Luca comes out as homosexual; the nurse Antonia Truppo; and Iaia Forte, in the role of Luca's mother.
“After this work of great social value, we will meet Matteo Garrone on Friday 13 October, with the cast of the film Io Capitano and the participation of the Ex Canapificio social centre – continues Massarelli – but the programme will also feature films restored by the Cineteca di Bologna, and there is still great anticipation for Scorsese's new film".
