Representatives of the Acerra minority have decided to occupy the council chamber for a few hours to draw attention to the President's management of the City Council, which they claim violates laws, statutes, and regulations, restricting the rights of the opposition.
During the discussion on strategies to improve air quality, the opposition denounced an attempt by the majority to postpone the discussion, a request promptly accepted by the President of the City Council.
This repeated attitude pushed the minority to ask for the intervention of the Prefect to guarantee the full usability of the City Council.
The eight opposition councilors decided to remain in the council chamber for several hours and sent a request to the Prefect of Naples to restore democracy in the Acerra City Council.
