The famous Milanese rapper Lazza, aka Jacopo Lazzarini, caused controversy during the Europa League match between Milan and Roma at San Siro. The match, which ended with the victory of the guests thanks to a goal by Gianluca Mancini in the 17th minute, was the scene of an episode that saw the famous artist, a die-hard Milan fan, as the protagonist.
Lazza, positioned in the prestigious “Front Row Experience” area of the Giuseppe Meazza, reserved for special guests of the club, was filmed by the cameras while he intoned, together with other fans of the Rossoneri curve, a provocative chant addressed to the Roma fans, defined as “Neapolitans”. This gesture raised quite a few criticisms, especially from the Napoli fans, who perceived the chant as offensive and denigrating.
The choir “Neapolitans, you are Neapolitans” It is often used in football contexts to tease the opposing team, but the use of this phrase by a public figure like Lazza amplified the resonance of the incident, provoking negative reactions on social media and towards the Neapolitan fans.
