In a message full of empathy, the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella expressed his support for a young patient, Asia, suffering from cancer.
“Asia, I saw your video and you are very good!”, wrote Mattarella on Instagram. “Congratulations for your strength and best wishes. Sergio Mattarella”.
The President commented on a video shared by the Santobono Pausilipon Hospital in Napoli, which shows Asia playing the piano despite the constant treatments. The 14-year-old girl, originally from Sala Consilina (Salerno), spends much of his time in the hospital, but finds solace in social media.
Unfortunately, Asia has been the victim of hateful comments on social media, as reported by mother Rossana to Ondanews. President Mattarella wanted to express his closeness to the young woman, sending her a message of encouragement and support.
