In Nocera Inferiore, the death of well-known bartender Giovanni Collo, which occurred in yesterday's road accident on State Road 18 in the municipality of Eboli, is being mourned.
The collision between a motorbike and a car occurred yesterday afternoon, in the locality of Cioffi in Santa Cecilia di Eboli.
Giovanni Collo, 42, resident in the Piedimonte neighborhood, died after a collision between his motorcycle and a Ford Focus. The dynamics of the accident are currently under investigation by the Carabinieri of the Eboli Company.
Despite being quickly taken to the hospital, Giovanni, affectionately known as Giovanniello in Nocera Inferiore, died instantly due to the serious injuries he sustained in the crash. The Salerno Prosecutor's Office has opened an investigation and may decide to proceed with an autopsy within the next few days.
Others involved in theaccident, including a minor, suffered injuries but their lives are not in danger. They were all transferred to the Ruggi hospital in Salerno with the assistance of Vopi staff, who intervened with two ambulances and a medical car.
In Nocera, where Giovanni was well known for his passion for motorcycles, great emotion spread.
