Judges put an end to the investigation called The Queen on suspicious tenders for regional funding
The court of Napoli sentenced former regional councilor Pasquale Sommese to 7 years; architect Guglielmo La Regina, from whom the investigation takes its name, to 12 years; entrepreneur Mario Martinelli from Casal di Principe to 7 years; Nicola D'Ovidio, former mayor of Riardo, and Giuseppe Cristiano from Brusciano to 6 years; Alessandro Gentile, from Maddaloni, Antonio Bretto, from Casal di Principe, Angelo Consoli, Giancarlo Migliore, Carlo Coppola, Stefano D'Amico, Paolo Stabile, Alfonso Setaro and Pietro Russo to 5 years.
The other defendants were acquitted.
