In the late afternoon, an earthquake of magnitude 2.3 struck Castel di Sasso, in the province of Caserta, increasing the concerns already existing in the area. The earthquake was recorded around 17 pm, with a hypocenter located at a depth of 8 kilometers.

On December 14th, a magnitude 2.4 tremor followed a magnitude 2.3 tremor in Roccamonfina. Subsequently, in the afternoon, another magnitude 1.9 earthquake occurred.
