After the 1-0 defeat against Napoli, Torino coach Paolo Vanoli analysed his team's performance to the microphones of DAZN. Despite the negative result, Vanoli highlighted the team's desire to face the match with an aggressive attitude: “We wanted to play this game, go and get them high. You have to look for these episodes. In the second half we managed the ball, but the individual spark was missing.”
The Granata coach acknowledged the importance of the contribution of the substitutes, but highlighted some shortcomings that prevented the team from making the most of their efforts: “We missed this little detail, but I knew that I could change the game during the match. Those who came on were also good. Napoli is a strong team and deserves to be top of the table.”
Vanoli then highlighted the aspects to work on to improve: “There are many things to improve. The midfielders can do better, as well as dribbling to beat the man and the balls inside the area. In the final moments we put few balls in and looked for few incidents.” Despite the defeat, the coach looks forward with a critical and proactive spirit: “When you are a coach, you always try to improve. Tonight we could have done more, but we were aware of the strength of the opponent.”

The match against Napoli was difficult, but I think the team showed commitment. Vanoli is right to say that more individual flair is needed to make the difference, in fact you can always improve and work on mistakes.
