The checks inside the building continue without stopping Secondigliano prison, aimed at identifying and seizing cell phones used by prisoners to maintain contact with the outside.
After the recent seizures, the prison police, under the guidance of the commander and the director of the institute, discovered other seven devices in the department High Security Tyrrhenian, where leading figures of organized crime are being held. In detail, the agents found five smartphones and two handsets, complete with chargers and headphones, tools used for clandestine communications.
Commenting on the operation is theUnion of Penitentiary Police Unions (Uspp), with the president Joseph Moretti and the regional secretary Ciro Auricchio, which underline the importance of these actions to counter the infiltration of mafias within penitentiary institutions. "The commander and the director are carrying out incessant work to combat the phenomenon. The penitentiary police of Secondigliano are distinguishing themselves for their effectiveness in preventing and finding cell phones and drugs", say the representatives of the Uspp.

It's a good thing that there are tight controls in Secondigliano prison, but I wonder if these seizures are enough to stop communication between the inmates and the outside. The phones are only part of the problem.
