The mayor of Naples, Gaetano Manfredi, has announced that the city will see the opening of numerous construction sites after the Christmas period.
Among these, the Albergo dei Poveri, the Villa Comunale, the Galleries, some streets, several high schools and nursery schools.
Manfredi stressed that these construction sites are a source of satisfaction, as the city had a very precise roadmap of deadlines that it is respecting. There have been some delays of a few days or two weeks, but overall everything is proceeding according to plan.
The mayor also spoke about other priorities to be addressed in view of the end of the year. In particular, work is being done on the budget and the three-year forecast, which it is hoped will be concluded by December. New competitions have been announced for the vacant positions and the reorganization of the subsidiaries is progressing.
Finally, Manfredi announced that the streets of all the municipalities have been defined for the installation of the Christmas lights. The assignments are being made and then the assembly will take place. A ceiling has been allocated for each municipality under equal conditions. The management is centralized, but the municipalities have indicated the streets where the lights had to be installed. On some streets, where it will not be possible to use public resources, private contributions will be used.
Manfredi then reiterated his determination to carry forward the city's relaunch program, respecting the times and deadlines.
