Yesterday evening, an attempted robbery ended with the arrest of a 31-year-old Tunisian man at the Piazza Garibaldi station. Two officers from the Milan Police Headquarters, off duty and aboard a high-speed train from Milan Central Station bound for Naples, were the protagonists of the operation.

One of the officers noticed that a man had taken his luggage and was trying to escape. The police promptly chased the suspect, who reacted violently. The situation was resolved thanks to the intervention of a patrol from the Railway Police Department Campania, who managed to block the man.

The suspect was identified as a 31-year-old of Tunisian origin and arrested for attempted improper robbery, personal injury and resisting a public official. The timely intervention of the police prevented the criminal from escaping and ensured the safety of passengers present at the station.
