Naples. The joy of Ultimo's concert shattered by a tragic accident: Vincenzo dies, his partner is in serious condition

A love on the notes of Ultimo, broken by a cruel fate. Vincenzo de Nittis and Sara, a couple from Peschici, had crowned their love with a trip to Naples to attend the concert of their favorite singer.

An event that turned into tragedy on the way back, when their motorbike was involved in an accident that took the life of Vincenzo at just 35 years old.

A shared dream. Vincenzo and Sara's passion for Ultimo's music had united them, so much so that they traveled 300 kilometers to attend their idol's concert. It was an experience they immortalized on social media, sharing photos and videos that recounted their joy and bond.

The return home turns into a nightmare. Sunday evening, after having sung at the top of our lungs the songs of Ultimo at the Maradona Stadium, the couple had stopped in Naples to spend the night.

Yesterday morning, on provincial road 38 that would have taken them back to their everyday life and their five-month-old baby, fate shattered their dreams.

A tragic collision. Less than an hour before returning home, Vincenzo's motorcycle collided head-on with a car. The impact was so violent that the young man had no chance of survival, dying instantly.

Sara, seriously injured, was transported by helicopter to the Policlinico Riuniti in Foggia, where she underwent surgery.

Peschici mourns Vincenzo. This afternoon, the young man's funeral was held in his hometown, where a day of mourning was declared. Sara, still hospitalized, was unable to say her final farewell to her partner.

Now she fights to return to her child, hoping to raise him with the love that has always united them, despite the tragedy that shattered their dream.

The investigation. The local magistrates have opened an investigation to determine who is responsible for the accident. The community of Peschici stands with Vincenzo's family and prays for Sara's recovery, hoping that she will soon be able to smile again, even if her heart is broken.
