The Carabinieri of the San Nicola la Strada station have dismantled a well-organized drug dealing square near the Largo Rotonda roundabout, on the outskirts of Caserta. The operation, which began late yesterday evening, led to the arrest of four men of Gambian nationality, caught while selling hashish and marijuana to three young people in the area.
The control activity, started shortly after 22:XNUMX p.m., involved two patrols and soldiers in civilian clothes. The agents, after a careful observation phase, were able to reconstruct the modus operandi of the pushers, who operated with a system of lookouts and dealers located in strategic points inside the municipal villa. The lookouts had the task of monitoring and signaling the arrival of the police, while directing the buyers to the accomplices in charge of delivering the drugs.
The latter, positioned in places that guaranteed rapid escape routes, completed the exchange by receiving the money and, with synchronized movements, handed it over to the lookouts. The blitz by the Carabinieri, rapid and effective, allowed them to surround and block the four dealers and the three young buyers. During the searches, over 20 doses of hashish, 10 of marijuana and 145 euros in cash were seized, the result of the illicit activity.
The four arrested, aged between 26 and 32, all illegal on the national territory and already known to the police for crimes related to drug dealing, were taken to the barracks and detained. The three buyers, however, were reported to the Territorial Office of the Government as drug users and will be subject to administrative sanctions.
