Checks in Aversa's nightlife venues: seizures and reports

In recent days, the Carabinieri of the Aversa Company, with the support of the canine units of the Carabinieri Nucleus of Chieti, the military of the Labor Inspectorate and the NAS of Caserta, as well as the technical personnel of the ASL and SIAE, have conducted an important extraordinary control operation of the territory. The blitz involved numerous commercial activities, including bars, restaurants and arcades in the Aversa area, and led to the denunciation at liberty of five people.

The operation, conducted by 12 patrols in the evening and night hours, allowed the discovery of several irregularities. In a restaurant in Aversa, the Carabinieri identified a foreign worker in an irregular situation, already the recipient of an expulsion order. Following this discovery, administrative sanctions were imposed for a total of 11.080 euros for the use of illegal labor. The authorities ordered the immediate suspension of the activity and the seizure of the premises, due to the precarious hygienic-sanitary conditions. During the check, 30 kg of non-compliant food were also seized, with a consequent fine of 2.500 euros.

Also a bar-games room in the center of Aversa ended up in the crosshairs of the controls: the activity was suspended due to the lack of a business license and the mandatory tables relating to prohibited games. Not only administrative irregularities: during the controls, two customers of one of the premises were found in possession of narcotics. One of them was carrying about 8 grams of hashish, while the other had 4 grams of the same substance and a prop gun without a red cap. Both were reported to the competent authority, and the weapon and the narcotics were seized.

During the operation, the Carabinieri also carried out roadblocks, checking 150 people and 90 vehicles, issuing 15 fines for violations of the highway code. The operation underlines the commitment of the police forces in guaranteeing safety and legality on the territory, targeting not only administrative irregularities, but also minor crime phenomena related to the possession of drugs and weapons.
