The “Quinto Orazio Flacco” classical high school paid homage to the memory of journalist and writer Franco Di Mare by naming the institute’s new Web TV after him, during the event “Digital Humanities & Communication: the role of Artificial Intelligence”, held on Friday 18 October.
The meeting, organized in collaboration with theOrder of Journalists of Campania and the online newspaper CoMeTe, offered an important opportunity to reflect on the growing role of artificial intelligence in the world of information and communication. The ceremony represented a moment of encounter between students, journalists and professionals in the sector, who discussed the profound transformations that emerging technologies are bringing to the way of doing journalism.
Among the most significant interventions, the touching tribute to Di Mare, known for his career in the world of information, was the heart of the day, underlining the importance of keeping alive the memory of those who contributed to Italian journalism. The Web TV, dedicated to Di Mare, represents a digital laboratory for high school students, a bridge between tradition and innovation, where the past and the future of communication meet to train the new generations of communicators and journalists.
