Naples in Love: an emotional journey through the loves of historic Naples

Naples' historic center is preparing to become an open-air stage with "Naples in Love," a tour show organized by Partenope in Tour, scheduled for Sunday, February 16th at 10:30 a.m. Fans of Neapolitan history and legends will have the opportunity to discover some of the city's most passionate and controversial love stories.

Romantic Itinerary

The tour will start from Piazza del Gesù Nuovo, taking participants through the most fascinating streets and squares. One of the first stops will be Piazza San Domenico Maggiore, where the dramatic love story between Maria d'Avalos and Fabrizio Carafa will be told. We will then continue towards Via San Biagio dei Librai, to discover the stories of Lucrezia and Alfonso d'Aragona, and the literary love of Elisa and the poet Salvatore di Giacomo.

Via dei Tribunali, the heart of the Decumano Maggiore, will feature the myth of famous seducers such as Oscar Wilde and Casanova, up to the figure of the “malafemmena” by Antonio de Curtis. Finally, the tour will end at the Cathedral of Naples, with a special interpretation by an actor in the role of King Ferdinand of Bourbon.
