On Monday 10 March, at 16 pm, the Sala dei Baroni of Castel Nuovo will host a monothematic session of the Naples City Council, entirely dedicated to the theme of volcanic risk and bradyseism in Phlegraean Fields.
The meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Enza Amato, will see the participation of numerous key figures, including the mayor of Naples Gaetano Manfredi, the councilor for Infrastructure, Mobility and Civil Protection Edoardo Cosenza, the head of Civil Protection Fabio Ciciliano, the head of the General Directorate of Public Works and Civil Protection of the Campania Region Italo Giulivo, the general director of the ASL Napoli 1 center Ciro Verdoliva, the director of the Naples Vesuvius Observatory section of the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology Mauro Antonio Di Vito, and the presidents of the Municipalities involved in the phenomenon.
The session will be an opportunity to take stock of the measures in place to address the phenomenon, with the aim of ensuring the safety of the population and promoting the culture of prevention. The assembly will also be open to delegations of citizens from the Municipalities involved, to encourage direct dialogue between institutions and communities.
