Pozzuoli. At 11.59 in the area of Campi Flegrei a has occurred earthquake of magnitude 2.6. The epicentre identified by the Vesuvius Observatory is in the Pisciarelli district, an area between Napoli and Pozzuoli.

The earthquake occurred at a depth of 3 km and was part of a seismic swarm that has been ongoing in the area since 11.57 am.
“The Vesuvius Observatory has informed us that a sequence of seismic events has been underway in the area since 11:57 Campi Flegrei with preliminary maximum magnitude Md = 2.6 ± 0.3″, wrote the mayor of Pozzuoli Gigi Manzoni on Facebook.
