Rione Terra Affair, Oddati's Defense: "That Money Was Loans"

Lawyer Vittorio Giaquinto, defender of Nicola Oddati, member of the national management of the Democratic Party and manager of the Region Campania, arrested as part of an investigation into alleged corruption in the awarding of contracts to Pozzuoli, said that his client had clarified his position.

Giaquinto stressed that Oddati is linked by friendship with the entrepreneur Musella, but is unaware of his activities. Regarding the money received, the lawyer specified that it is loans requested and obtained by his friend Musella.

Today, Nicola Oddati was the last of the suspects who ended up in prison to be subjected to preliminary hearing before the investigating judge, after being arrested together with the former mayor of Pozzuoli Vincent Sonsa, to the entrepreneur Salvatore Musella and to the former president of ENIT Giorgio Palmucci.

THELawyer Luigi DeVitaFigliolia's lawyer, said that his client, in prison since January 15, had consulted several entrepreneurs, including Musella, for the contract Rione Terra. De Vita is preparing a motion to request Figliolia's release from prison.
