On March 27, at 19:300 p.m., the Church of SS. Marcellino and Festo in Naples will be the scene of the concert “Civiltà partenopea”, open to the public free of charge. This event will be part of the Scarlatti 2025 series, linked to the XNUMX edition of the Concerts for Federico, and will be conducted by maestro Giuseppe Galiano.
Scarlatti 300
The festival is promoted by the Nuova Orchestra Scarlatti in collaboration with the University of Naples Federico II, within the F2 Cultura project. The musical program will be inaugurated by the Hymn of Federico II and will propose some of the most iconic works by Alessandro Scarlatti, including the Concerto grosso n. 1 in F minor and two Sinfonie di Concerto Grosso created in 1715 in Naples.
Albinoni and Marrone
In addition to Scarlatti's compositions, the audience will have the opportunity to listen to works by Tommaso Albinoni, such as the Concerto for oboe and strings op. 9 n. 2. This famous piece will be performed by soloist Pierdavide Falco on the oboe. The evening will end with the “Magnificat, Suite for strings and djembe” by Patrizio Marrone, a contemporary Neapolitan composer, enriched by the presence of percussionist Domenico Monda.

The event in Naples looks very interesting but I wonder if there will be seating for everyone or if it will be standing room only. I hope it is well organized so as not to create confusion among people.
I think the concert could be a nice experience for those who love classical music, but I don't know if I will be able to go since I have other commitments that day.
