A man who tried to escape the control of the State Police was arrested in Mergellina.
Last morning, during a territorial control operation in Largo Sermoneta, agents from the Office of General Prevention and Public Rescue of the Naples police headquarters ordered a man on board a car to stop.
However, the man tried to escape despite orders to stop, triggering a chase during which he performed dangerous maneuvers.
He was eventually stopped near a traffic light on Via Caracciolo, where he attempted to flee again, causing injuries to officers before being captured.
The suspect, a 38-year-old Neapolitan, was arrested for assault and resisting a public official.
This episode demonstrates how fundamental it is for law enforcement to control the territory.
