“Jennifer’s Five Roses” at the Sannazaro Theater with Geppy Gleijeses and Lorenzo Gleijeses
A spectacular theatrical performance with Geppy Gleijeses and Lorenzo Gleijeses will be staged at the Teatro Sannazaro from March 8 to March 17. It is “Le Cinque Rose di Jennifer” by Annibale Ruccello, directed by Geppy Gleijeses and produced by Gitiesse Artisti Riuniti.
The story revolves around Jennifer, a young femminiello who lives in the Rione dei Travestiti in Naples. While waiting for a call from Franco, an engineer from Genoa, Jennifer spends her days answering the calls that mistakenly arrive on her phone, listening to Radio Cuore and following the news about a dangerous killer who is lurking in the neighborhood. Despite the threats and the harassing phone calls, Jennifer waits for Franco with patience and love.
Geppy Gleijeses, in a deep reflection on the plot and the characters, underlines the importance of interpreting with truth and dignity the transvestites present in the comedy. Through a realistic connotation, the show manages to immerse the audience in a universe of desperation and euphoria, as only Ruccello's work can do.
