Interesting instead is the intercepted conversation between Gennaro Imparato Alessio Vicorito and the same Salvatore Giuliano during which the fear towards the owners of a well-known pizzeria in the heart of Forcella who paid the sum of one thousand five hundred euros as extortion emerges.

 No raise at the famous pizzeria: “These ones are scary… these ones are gruoss!”.

And Imparato therefore demands that the figure be increased to two thousand euros, stating “no two thousand? (…] It should increase”; Salvatore Giuliano intervenes to mitigate Gennaro Imparato's claim, explaining that the owners could file a complaint.

And in fact he says: “we're not doing it! I want to talk to him, I want to talk to him because… (…] It's dangerous to ask him for a raise! (…] These guys are big, these guys are scary… if they're good and proper… these guys say… “what do you understand?”!… they put themselves in the hands of the guards, do you understand? These guys are scary… do you understand? These guys are scary… these guys are big!”.

“A furcell I know five patan”

The next day Gennaro Learned illustrates to Salvatore Giuliano and to Alessio Vicorito the potential revenue that can be derived from the collection of extortion sums from catering businesses.

And he explains with satisfaction: “already almost ten of them or bro… don't say anything… but at five hundred, that's five patan' to Furcell… (ten activities at five hundred euros are five thousand euros)… some a thousand and five, some a thousand, some five hundred!”.

The message to the unruly pizzeria: “I came for the gift”

And then Salvatore Giuliano, speaking of a pizzeria that was reluctant to pay the pizzo, explains to the emissary how he should behave: “you should have the owner called directly (…) Have the owner called and tell him, listen… I came for the gift you are hunting for the season! […] Tell him, will you tell me when I have to come by or do you want to come by?”.
