Naples. Drug trafficking network dismantled that imported large quantities of drugs from Spain on behalf of the Amato-Pagano clan and directed them to the Naples and province markets.
The Carabinieri of Naples, on behalf of the District Anti-Mafia Directorate, have in fact arrested 33 people involved in a vast international drug trafficking operation.
The operation, conducted in collaboration with the Spanish authorities, allowed the dismantling of two criminal organizations that supplied the Neapolitan drug dealing areas, in particular those controlled by the Camorra clan “Amato-Pagano”.
The investigations highlighted how the two organizations, although operating independently, sourced their supplies from the same supply channel in Spain, managed by a well-known fugitive drug trafficker.
The drugs, mainly cocaine and hashish, were then placed on the Neapolitan market and in the surrounding municipalities.
Drugs hidden in a dishwasher
During the operations, the Carabinieri seized a large quantity of drugs hidden in a dishwasher and several hundred thousand euros.
Money, weapons and wigs were also seized
And more drugs, a shotgun, a repeater and a pistol and some wigs and masks in a cellar manhole as well as more drugs and money.
The investigations on Amato-Pagano clan they continue both to track down the fugitive drug lord and to reveal the entire network of connections and clans with which the gang did business.
