Naples. A GP attacked by a user in the Ponticelli clinic because he did not want to wait his turn in the waiting room. And this is why the solidarity of the Corporate Secretariat of the SMI, Italian Doctors Union of the ASL Napoli 1 Centro, was triggered.
The doctor, SMI reports, is still severely affected both physically and psychologically by the attack he suffered during his outpatient activity in the Ponticelli-Barra neighborhood.
According to what was reported to the union, the doctor was attacked by a patient who wanted to avoid the queue in the waiting room; promptly helped by other patients, the doctor was transported to the Ospedale del Mare, where he was diagnosed with a non-concussive head trauma, an abdominal contusion and multiple abrasions.
In addition to the solidarity of the entire union, the SMI has made available to its member the legal support of the Regional Secretariat and all the necessary help from the SMI Campania.
