An artistic journey through memories and imagination is preparing to animate the spaces of Villa Bruno in San Giorgio a Cremano, Naples, from 1 to 9 December 2024. The artist known as Laser, Vincenzo De Rosa, will present his solo exhibition “A.mòr.fo”, promising a pictorial experience that combines emotions and symbolism.
Article Key Points
The Exhibition
The exhibition, curated by Marco De Simone, will take place on the main floor of the “Palazzo della Cultura Vesuviana” and will include 25 works. These works blend the graphic line with the pictorial matter, creating figurative scenes that fade towards the dissolution of traditional forms. Laser’s works are distinguished by an imagery that is at the same time chaotic and redundant, where each pictorial element contributes to the narration, without waste. Words, sentences, numbers and arrows intertwine in the paintings, acting as visual codes for the observer.
The Vernissage
The opening night, scheduled for December 1st, will feature a double live performance. The artist himself will perform a painting performance, accompanied musically by Paolo Polcari of Almamegretta, in a meeting of visual arts and sounds.
A Journey into Memory
Laser describes his exhibition as a “journey into memory”, a process where memories and personal experiences are reconstructed through overlapping images, giving new shape and meaning to fragments of memory. The work aims to explore concepts of identity and structure, through a title that challenges the notion of “amorphous” with a scientific approach, playing on the perception of form and matter.
