Antonio Conte responds clearly to the recent statements of Giacomo Raspadori, who in an interview expressed his desire to have more space on the pitch. During the pre-match press conference ahead of the match against Torino, the Napoli coach reiterated his strategic vision for the team, ensuring that the goal is to strengthen the club, not weaken it.
"We want to make Napoli stronger; I'll never be so stupid as to weaken them," Conte declared, emphasizing Raspadori's importance to the Azzurri's project. "For me, he's a strong and important player. My intention is to strengthen Napoli, not weaken it, both for the present and the future. This must be a clear message."
Conte also explained the difficulties of managing rotations in a season where the team is focused solely on the league and the Coppa Italia , a competition that offers few opportunities to allocate minutes. "When you only have one main competition and the Coppa Italia only occasionally, it becomes difficult to give everyone time," the coach admitted, while also making it clear that decisions are always geared towards the best interests of the team.
