Theater: “The Tempest” by Shakespeare
On January 17th at 20:30 pm, the theatre presents “TEMPESTA”, an adaptation of the work by Shakespeare, directed by Rosario Sparno and starring Francesca De Nicolais, Massimiliano Foà and Luca Iervolino. The production is curated by Casa del Contemporaneo. The plot follows the events of Prospero, exiled on an island with his daughter Miranda, and his desire for revenge against those who caused his condition. The show explores themes of magic, island and slavery, presenting the stage as an artistic installation created by Antonella Romano.
Cinema: “The Nose or the Conspiracy of Nonconformists”
On January 19th at 17:00 pm, there is a screening dedicated to families with “THE NOSE or the Conspiracy of Nonconformists”, an animated film directed by Andrey Khrzhanovsky. Accompanied by the music of Shostakovich, the film explores stories of nonconformists during Stalin's regime, celebrating pioneers who challenged conformity. The film was awarded in 2020 at the Open Russian Film Festival Kinotavr.

Tickets In addition, in the Art Space of the foyer, it is possible to visit the installation “O vico d”e guagliune”, curated by the Associazione Stabiese dell'Arte e del Presepe, for free. The event at the Karol Theater seems very interesting, especially for the variety of the proposal between theater and cinema. I like Shakespeare's works, but I don't know if I'll be able to go. The screening of the animated film seems suitable for families.
