“Fortune”, the new album by the singer-songwriter from Garda AUA, made with the contribution of NUOVO IMAIE, is out today, Friday 17 January, on digital platforms and all digital stores. The single “Calling” is on radio rotation from today.
“Fortune” is a journey through the many facets of luck, the common thread that unites the nine stories told on the album. Each song explores how luck can manifest itself in unexpected, complex and, at times, painful ways. With evocative sounds and profound lyrics, “Fortune” invites listeners to reflect on how every experience, even the most difficult, can hide a form of luck. It is hoped that this album will offer comfort and inspiration, proving that luck is everywhere, even in the most unexpected places.
The creative process
“Fortune” was an intense and deeply intimate journey. Each track is the result of a reflection on the emotions and experiences that shape our perception of luck. The nine stories told in the album draw inspiration from different women, captured at significant moments in their lives, each with a unique perspective on luck. Aua explored different sounds and musical styles to create a soundscape capable of reflecting the complexity and beauty of these stories, giving voice to their nuances and emotions.

“This song reflects the internal struggles and uncertainties we all face in life, such as the need for time to grow, heal and find one's way. – declares Aua – the images of the lake and the rocks symbolize the weight of expectations and the desire to break free from them. 'Calling' is about kids who have just become adults, struggling with the challenges of life, including that of following their own path without forgetting the call of love. The choruses in the song evoke this call. I hope this song can offer inspiration to kids, reminding them that every step forward, no matter how small, is a step towards your happiness.”
