The Rostocco Theatre in Acerra opens its 2025 season on January 25th with the national premiere of "Inside Heysel." The show, written by Emilio Targia, features live music by Gianluca Casadei. Coming on the fortieth anniversary of the tragic events of May 29, 1985, at the Heysel Stadium, it recounts the drama and memory of that night.
The performance is scheduled for Saturday at 20:30 pm and Sunday 26 January at 18 pm.
A journey that changes
The narrative is inspired by the failed dream of the fans of the Champions Cup final between Liverpool and Juventus. It is the continuation of a project that began with the book “Quella notte all'Heysel” in 2015, followed in 2024 by the podcast “Dentro l'Heysel” produced by Mondadori studios.
A season full of contaminations
This event is part of a large program open to the public of all ages. Ferdinando Smaldone, artistic director, emphasizes the importance of cultural contaminations. The theater becomes a meeting point for artists and texts that allow themselves to be influenced by the "human factor".
