The traveling festival School Experience 4 achieved considerable success in its fifth stop in Ferrara, Emilia Romagna. This event, part of the National Cinema and Images for Schools Plan, is organized by the Giffoni Experience Autonomous Body. The initiative is supported by the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Education and Merit, in collaboration with the MusicFilm association.
### A Three Day Festival
For three days, students from various schools, including the Giosuè Carducci Institute and the Luigi Einaudi Institute, participated in screenings in the Short Experience section. The short films, directed by national and international professionals, were selected from over 1500 works.
### Deepening the Professions of Cinema
The festival enriched participants' experience with the MOVIE LAB, a workshop dedicated to exploring the grammar of audiovisual media and the professions of filmmaking. This workshop was supported by the Giffoni team. Edoardo Boselli, president of MusicFilm, commented on the project's cultural value, highlighting how cinema can strengthen human relationships.
### Next Stages of the Tour
The School Experience 4 journey will continue in Basilicata, in Montescaglioso, from February 17 to 21. The festival will then move to Savigliano, Piedmont, from March 17 to 21, before concluding in the Multimedia Valley of Giffoni Valle Piana in April 2025. Marco Cesaro, director of Giffoni, emphasized the importance of the project to Giffoni's mission, affirming its goal of inspiring young people through film and teamwork. The inclusion of Emilia Romagna this year has broadened the festival's scope.
