The School Experience 4 traveling festival has been a great success in its fifth stop in Ferrara, Emilia Romagna. This event, part of the National Plan Cinema and Images for Schools, is organized by the Giffoni Experience Autonomous Body. The initiative is supported by the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Education and Merit, in collaboration with the MusicFilm association.
A Three Day Festival
For three days, students from various schools, including the Istituto Giosuè Carducci and the IIS Luigi Einaudi, participated in the screenings of the Short Experience section. The short films, made by national and international professionals, were chosen from over 1500 works.
Deepening the Cinema Professions
The festival enriched the participants' experience with the MOVIE LAB, a laboratory dedicated to the exploration of the grammar of audiovisual and the professions of cinema. This laboratory was supported by the Giffoni team. Edoardo Boselli, president of MusicFilm, commented on the cultural value of the project, highlighting how cinema can strengthen human relationships.
Next Tour Stops
The journey of School Experience 4 will continue in Basilicata, in Montescaglioso, from 17 to 21 February. Afterwards, the festival will move to Piedmont, in Savigliano, from 17 to 21 March, to then conclude in the Multimedia Valley of Giffoni Valle Piana in April 2025. Marco Cesaro, from the direction of Giffoni, underlined the importance of the project for the mission of Giffoni, affirming the goal of stimulating young people through cinema and teamwork. The introduction of Emilia Romagna this year has expanded the festival's scope.
