Naples – An intervention by the Local Police in Piazza del Gesù led to the seizure of a switchblade in the possession of two minors.

The officers of the Lawyers' Operations Unit intervened after a young woman reported threats to some of her friends. Supported by the Soccavo Operations Unit, the police officers identified the two boys, seizing a knife with a 5 cm blade. The minors, after the usual procedures, were entrusted to their parents by order of the magistrate on duty.
The operation is part of the extraordinary controls on nightlife arranged by the Municipality of Napoli. The Avvocata, Chiaia, San Lorenzo and Stella Operating Units inspected several nightclubs, finding 31 violations: among these, seven concern the illegal occupation of public land, 12 the violation of the rules on noise impact and disturbance of the peace, while three are related to the sale of alcohol without authorization.

During the investigations, the Stella Operational Unit seized an illegal structure built on public land to expand a food and beverage service business.
Widespread checks also in commercial activities Chiaia: in via Petrarca, a restaurant was warned for lack of authorization to sell alcohol and irregular installations.

At the same time, inspections of non-hotel accommodation facilities have been intensified: the San Lorenzo Operations Unit has fined five businesses for administrative irregularities, including the absence of a national identification code and failure to pay the tourist tax. Two people have been reported for failure to register guests and for building violations.
Finally, in the Barra and San Giovanni neighborhoods, the GIT Motociclisti Operational Unit carried out road checks, seizing 20 vehicles and withdrawing three driving documents. 49 violations of the Highway Code were found, including driving without insurance, driving without a license and failure to use seat belts.
The control action of the Local Police will continue in the coming days to ensure safety and compliance with the regulations.
