The Milan prosecutor's office has identified and seized approximately 980 thousand euros paid by the entrepreneur Massimo Moratti to fraudsters who impersonated the Minister of Defense, Guido Crosetto.
This case, widely discussed in recent days, is the subject of investigations by the Milan prosecutor's office. The funds were deposited in a Dutch account, after having passed through other accounts.
The investigations were launched following several complaints filed by well-known Italian entrepreneurs, including Massimo Moratti, Giorgio Armani, Marco Tronchetti Provera, Diego Della Valle, Patrizio Bertelli and the Aleotti, Beretta and Caltagirone families.
The scammers had contacted the victims in the previous weeks, presenting themselves as representatives of Guido Crosetto or even simulating his voice. The requests for money were justified by the need to help the state free some Italian journalists kidnapped in the Middle East, stressing that the authorities could not pay the kidnappers directly. So far, Moratti is the only one of the entrepreneurs contacted to confirm having made a payment.

This is a very strange case involving famous entrepreneurs and scams. I wonder how someone can deceive such important people. I hope the authorities will find the culprits of this situation soon.
