A flurry of online scams committed in the province of Avellino with the convenient purchase technique put up for sale on the internet.
Three people living in Taurano, Moschiano and Bagnoli Irpino fell into the trap on the same day. They paid between 300 and 370 euros on a Postepay card indicated by the scammers for the purchase of televisions, insurance policies and consumer goods that were never delivered.
In separate investigations, the Carabinieri and the State Police identified the scammers: a 49-year-old and a 41-year-old resident in the province of Frosinone, a 30-year-old from Milan, and a 32-year-old from Naples who were reported at large.
