In Naples, the 'Maggio dei Monumenti 2022' kicks off with a weekend of intercultural walks and guided tours: from Friday 13 to Sunday 15 May, there are nine events proposed by Muraria, the program of events inspired by a vision that reverses the concept of the wall, from a symbol of division to a symbol of union.
The meeting and integration of different cultures will be the theme of two tours that will feature communities of foreign origin residing in Naples.
On Friday the 13th at 17 pm, the narrator of Ukrainian origins Yuliya Sanchenko will lead Neapolitans and tourists along Via Tribunali, following an itinerary that will touch, among other sites, the Church of S. Maria della Pace, which today hosts Ukrainians of Byzantine rite, and the Avventura di Latta laboratory, where refugees of different nationalities create design objects.
The walk will end in the Officine Gomitoli youth intercultural center of Dedalus, with a musical performance by Maurizio Capone. On Sunday, May 15 at 10.30:XNUMX, the plural identity of the city will be evoked by cultural mediators Pierre Preira and Andreina Lopes Pinto: their task will be to lead a walk with tastings to discover the different gastronomic traditions present in the Piazza Garibaldi area.
