Sunday 15th October will be held at Marina di Casal Velino the second edition of “In Her Shoes – In memory of his steps”, a charity event in memory of Lorella Rizzo, a strong and dynamic woman who passed away two years ago due to a cancer.
Lorella has strenuously fought her battles for about 15 years and has made physical movement her main ally in her life journey.
Walking, dancing and music were her greatest passions, what allowed her to walk her path with determination, even in the most difficult moments.
The event, organized by Luana Cerbone, Lorella Rizzo's daughter, wants to raise awareness and celebrate this: the psycho-physical importance of pursuing one's passions, despite the difficulties, making them fundamental to determining who we are in life and in memory.
It is not the quantity in our life that is important, but the quality of the time we spend doing what we love and what makes us feel good.
“In Her Shoes” refers to the English saying that “you can never understand someone until you have walked a mile in their shoes”: for this reason we invite you to symbolically walk a part of her life path, the one that made her happiest.
For this reason, the event avails itself of the support of the performing arts with many artists who have spontaneously offered their contribution to the research by entertaining the guests with their performances:
Chemical Host – Uraiha – The Bordello Rock 'n' Roll Band – I Dolori del Giovane Walter – LUCE L'Unica Cosa Essenziale – Pantaleo Rizzo – Denise Galdo – comecarbone – The Fighters – Euthymia – Arianna Volpe – Vassa&Leone – Morris and many other musicians will join on stage, together for the research.
The event aims not only to remember Lorella Rizzo, but also to help those who are currently struggling with a similar problem, raising awareness but not stigmatizing it as a taboo, so that cancer can be talked about without feeling alone and so that it can be faced together by networking and giving concrete help, with a fundraiser for research.
In fact, all proceeds from the event will be donated to AIRC, the Foundation for Cancer Research.

IN HER SHOES, will take place in the following phases:
– Meeting at 17:30 pm at the Rock Bar in Casal Velino Marina;
– Departure for a symbolic walk from the Rock Bar to the terrace of the Port of Marina di Casalvelino, where the dance performance by Ilenia Borrelli will take place accompanied live by Pantaleo Rizzo;
– Start of the Solidarity Aperitif at the Rock Bar with a DJ set in collaboration with Dots Ape and Rock Bar;
– Dance performance by Ilenia Borrelli, Serenity Dance and Antonietta Santoro;
– Start of the Performance Live Music in rotation
It is highly recommended to bring sneakers (or comfortable shoes for walking) and headphones for your smartphone: the walk will be punctuated by a playlist on Spotify which you will access via a QR code.

Let's walk together to remember that it is not the steps you take that count, nor the shoes you use, but the footprints you leave."
