Two Algerian citizens, a 30-year-old and a 20-year-old, were arrested by the Carabinieri of Aversa for improper robbery and resisting a public official.

The events occurred yesterday afternoon, when the military personnel of the Operational and Radiomobile Unit of the Aversa Company, during a traffic control service, intercepted a Renault Clio that, approaching at high speed, dangerously forced the control device.
The police ordered the driver to stop, but instead of stopping, he accelerated and attempted to run over one of the soldiers.
Thus began a chase that lasted for several kilometers, until the carabinieri managed to reach and block the fugitives' vehicle.
On board the Renault, which had been stolen from a young woman in Aversa shortly before, the two Algerian citizens were identified and arrested.
The recovered car was returned to its rightful owner.
The arrested were taken to the barracks and, at the end of the investigations, they were arrested and placed at the disposal of the competent judicial authority. They will have to answer for improper robbery in competition, resistance, violence and threat to a Public Official.
